Who Whooos under that Balaclava...

Zara has had a seasonal cold and is now under the weather with bad asthma, she said a roastie toastie warm balaclava would help so of course I had to quickly crochet her a pink and purple tone Night Owl Balaclava. Now she looks and feels roastie toastie….roll on wellness my darling.

Medieval Mistress….

Medieval Mistress....

I have decided to work on some simple kid friendly patterns to publish into a book. Being new to crochet myself and initially not able to read patterns I have decided to make it easy for a beginner to make wonderful items to give in the spirit of keeping crochet alive and interesting.

The internet is full of pictures and ideas and even loads of simple free patterns and tutorials, I just like the idea of having all my favorites in one place using just a few needles and very simple pattern techniques.

So here’s my first creation, a very simple chain-mail helmet style Medieval Helmet hat…I love the Viking ones with horns but feel this style is more simple and everyday wearable for the Medieval mistress or mister….
